DomeLearn ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and providing transparency about how we collect, use, and safeguard your information. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection and use when you use the DomeLearn mobile application ("the App") - an educational platform for learning any subject through scrollable, bite-sized content.
By using DomeLearn, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Information (Google Sign-In):
- When you sign in using Google, we receive limited account information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile picture
- Your email address serves as your unique Account ID to save and synchronize your learning progress, preferences, and Bootcamp status across devices
- Important: We do NOT receive or store your Google password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy
- We do NOT access your Google Drive, contacts, or other private Google data
User-Generated Content:
- Custom Lessons: JSON files containing educational content (lessons, definitions, analogies, code examples, diagrams) that you upload through the "Personal Lessons" feature
- Personal Topics: Custom learning topics and categories you create
- Lesson Templates: Content you generate using our lesson creation tools
Learning Preferences:
- Selected courses (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Mathematics, History, etc.)
- Chosen difficulty levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
- Bootcamp selections and progression status
- Course unlock preferences
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
Learning Progress and Performance Data:
- Lesson interactions: Posts you like, mark as "understood," "learned," or "mastered"
- Quiz performance: Scores, pass/fail status, question responses, time spent on quizzes
- Course completion status and mastery levels
- Learning velocity and progress trends over time
- Topic mastery tracking (up to 50 topics per user)
Usage Data:
- App interactions and feature usage (which screens you visit, how often)
- Session duration and frequency
- Navigation patterns within the app
- Scroll behavior and content engagement metrics
Device Information:
- Device type and model
- Operating system and version
- App version and build number
- Device language settings
- Screen resolution (for optimal content display)
Performance and Diagnostic Data:
- Crash reports and error logs
- App performance metrics (loading times, responsiveness)
- Technical debugging information (to improve app stability)
1.3 What We Do NOT Collect
To provide transparency and clarity, we want to explicitly state what we do NOT collect:
- Passwords: We do not collect, store, or have access to your passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by Google Sign-In
- Payment Information: We do not collect credit card numbers, bank account details, or any payment information
- Contacts or Address Book Data: We do not access your device contacts, address book, or phone numbers
- Google Account Credentials: We do not receive or store your Google password or authentication tokens beyond what is necessary for session management
- Location Data: We do not collect your precise location or GPS coordinates
- Biometric Data: We do not collect fingerprints, face recognition data, or other biometric information
- Social Media Data: We do not access your social media accounts, posts, or connections
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Core Service Provision
- Account Management: Use your Google account information (email, name, profile picture) to create and manage your app account and sync data across devices
- Secure Authentication: Use Google Sign-In to provide secure, password-free authentication to your account
- Personalized Learning Experience: Customize your content feed based on your selected courses, levels, and Bootcamp preferences
- Progress Tracking: Save and display your learning progress, quiz scores, and mastery achievements
- Bootcamp Mode: Track your sequential course progression and automatically unlock new courses when you master prerequisites
2.2 Content Management
- Custom Content Integration: Process and display your uploaded JSON lessons in the main learning feed
- Topic Management: Allow you to create, modify, and delete up to 50 personal learning topics
- Content Recommendations: Suggest relevant lessons based on your progress and preferences
2.3 Performance Analytics
- Personal Analytics: Generate detailed statistics about your learning performance
- App Improvement: Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve app features and user experience
2.4 Communication
- Service Updates: Send important notifications about your account or the service
- Support Responses: Respond to your questions, feedback, and support requests
We do NOT use your data for advertising, marketing emails, or promotional purposes.
3. User Control and Data Management
DomeLearn gives you full, real-time control over your data:
3.1 Content Management Rights
Add, Modify, and Delete:
- You can add new custom lessons at any time through the Personal Lessons feature
- You can modify or update your uploaded content
- You can bulk-delete learning topics (up to your 50-topic limit) directly within the app
- All changes take effect immediately and are synchronized with our servers
Preference Management:
- Change your selected courses at any time from the Preferences screen
- Switch between individual course mode and Bootcamp mode
- Adjust difficulty level selections
- All preference changes immediately update your learning feed and reset the associated preference data in our database
3.2 Data Minimization Commitment
- We collect only the data necessary to provide the DomeLearn service
- Your learning preferences and progress data are used exclusively for your personal educational experience
We do NOT:
- Use your data for advertising
- Track you across other apps or websites
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal information
- Share your learning progress with others without your explicit consent
4. Data Retention and Deletion
4.1 Retention Policy
- Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as your account remains active to provide continuous service
- Inactive Accounts: If you stop using the app but do not delete your account, we retain your data to allow you to return and resume your progress
- Deleted Content: When you delete custom lessons or topics within the app, they are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days
4.2 Account and Data Deletion
You have the right to request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. Users who sign in with Google can request account deletion at any time using the in-app option or via our account deletion page.

Include the email address (Account ID) associated with your DomeLearn account.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account:
- Your account identifier (email) is permanently deleted
- All learning progress, quiz results, and performance data are erased
- All custom-uploaded lessons and personal topics are removed
- Preference settings and Bootcamp progress are cleared
- This action is irreversible and cannot be undone
Processing Timeline: Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your information seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols
- Secure Storage: Your data is stored on encrypted, secure servers with restricted access
- Authentication: We use token-based authentication to verify your identity and protect your account

5.2 User Responsibility
Account Security: Since authentication is handled by Google Sign-In, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account (using strong passwords, two-factor authentication, etc.)
- Keeping your Google account credentials confidential
- Reporting any unauthorized access to your account immediately
- Managing your Google account settings and permissions
Note: While we implement strong security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Track your activity across other apps or websites

- You retain full ownership of all content you create and upload
- By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to:
- Store and display your content to you within the app
- Process your content to generate personalized learning experiences
- You can delete your uploaded content at any time
Content Visibility:
- Currently: All custom lessons are private and visible only to you
- Future: We may introduce an optional community-sharing feature
- If implemented, content sharing will be opt-in only
- You will have full control over what content is shared publicly
7.2 Content Guidelines and Moderation
While custom content is currently private, we reserve the right to:
- Review uploaded content if reported for violations
- Remove content that violates our guidelines, including:
- Hate speech or discriminatory content
- Misinformation or intentionally misleading educational content
- Copyrighted material uploaded without permission
- Spam, malware, or malicious code
- Content promoting violence, illegal activities, or harm
8. Children's Privacy
Age Requirement: DomeLearn is intended for users aged 13 years and older.
COPPA Compliance:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
- If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately
